Afghanistan and Ireland go head to head in the AFG vs IRE first ODI. The match starts at 5 pm IST. All the matches will be played in Sharjah. The three ODIs will be played on March 7, 9 and 12.

Afghanistan still have a pretty experienced squad with their all-rounders Azmatullah Omarzai, Mohammad Nabi, and Gulbadin Naib. Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran are their two key batters. Hasmatullah Shahidi will lead the side and bat in the middle-order. Fazalhaq Farooqi and Noor Ahmad are the two key bowlers in the absence of Afghanistan’s spin twins.

Ireland will be led by Paul Stirling. He will have plenty of experienced players to fall back on. Andrew Balbirnie, Harry Tector, Gareth Delany, Curtis Campher, and George Dockrell are the key batters. Lorcan Rucket the specialist keeper is also a good batter. Mark Adair, Barry McCarthy, and Craig Young form the pace bowling trio. Adair won the Men of the Match in the One-off Test as he took three wickets.
